Master Trainer, Tombing
Born and brought up in a small village, surviving difficulties, the hardship of life haunted him. In his strive to survive he now, emerges as one of the best fighter in the world. Those who had seen his fight lovingly called him ‘fighting machine’.
Ginthianmang Tombing @ Mang Tombing, born on 21st March 1983 at Manipur. He was the fourth among five male siblings. His father was T. Ngulkhangin @ Pakang. When he was around three years old, his dearest mother left their home.
Living in a thatched hut since childhood, Tombing always holds firms that God is trustworthy. He adored the tender love of his father and his four brothers. From the hardships that he has faced, he learned a lot that he utilizes for his benefits.
He started to learn martial arts at the age of seven. Being devoid of the richness of the world, it is only the guidance of God that helps him. During severe winter he wakes up at dawn to practice martial arts. However, it is not only the passion that wakes him up early. He could not have a proper sleep as his bed has no clothes or mattress.
Sometimes he even imagines that he can levitate. Holding his hands together he closes his eyes, controlling his body and look towards the sky with belief. Does he float or not? People might mockingly call it martial arts. You have to possess a craze for it. People might call you psychopathic, but to really achieve it you need to be so.
He was quite a popular fighter at Asian and world level. However, it was in MMA Championship ’04 and 2007 Asian Open Muay-thai that he was really known at the world level. After the Asian open Muay-thai fight he was given several nicknames like, Bruce Lee Return, Mang “Swift”, Fearless Panther and many others. His fighting speed was compare to the speed of lighting. The fairness in his fight is what people think the best in him.
So far, Tombing has more than 3000 disciples in Delhi and NCR. This Delhi Kungfu Club is his new venture, to spread the knowledge of pure martial arts in India.
